George and Janet watch Pebble eat dirt in the shed, glad she seems too mad to speak. In her thoughts, Pebble notes she waited a whole year for this moment. A flashback shows Pebble drugging Aurelia's incense, taking her bridal robe and veil, and stepping into her place. In the present, Aurelia bursts into the wedding chamber and accuses Pebble of faking her madness. Julian smirks while Pebble plays dumb.
Pebble scoops up dirt and eats it in the shed. George and Janet watch her actions and feel satisfied that she will never talk. Inside her mind, Pebble states that she waited an entire year for this specific day.
A flashback shows Pebble slipping drugs into Aurelia's room incense. Aurelia passes out from the fumes. Pebble immediately takes the bridal robe, grabs the red veil, and dresses herself to replace her sister for the wedding.
Aurelia bursts into the wedding room and points at Pebble. She shouts that Pebble only faked madness to hijack the royal wedding. Pebble behaves like a harmless, silly child. Julian Ashford looks on and smirks at the chaos.
Aurelia pleads with Julian and details the trap. She explains that Pebble drugged the incense burner, locked the chamber door from the outside, and boarded the palanquin. A memory shows Pebble clapping her hands foolishly by the sedan chair.
“疯了好。疯了就不会出去乱说了。”
“姐姐啊，你赚走我的功劳，我就抢走你的如意郎君。”
