The butler escorts Iver onto the street. Iver spots Tamsin Reed, runs to hug her, and asks why she left him. Dashiell Veyr appears in his wheelchair with bodyguards. He thanks Tamsin and offers her a check for one hundred million dollars. Tamsin rejects the money. When the butler offers Iver lunch, the boy refuses to eat and insists on only eating food made by Tamsin.
The butler escorts Iver onto the street. Seeing Tamsin Reed, the boy rushes forward and throws his arms around her while weeping. He asks why she never returned for him and begs her to depart with him.
Wheelchair wheels roll down the pavement as bodyguards in black suits surround their boss. Dashiell Veyr appears before Tamsin Reed. She recognizes him as the dangerous, wealthy crime figure who lost the use of his legs in an accident.
Dashiell Veyr thanks Tamsin Reed for rescuing his son and directs a bodyguard to hand her a check for one hundred million dollars. Tamsin firmly turns it down because she did not help for cash, so Dashiell takes it back.
Iver clutches his stomach in hunger, but he rejects the bento meal the butler offers. The butler tells Dashiell that multiple chefs failed to feed him. Iver cowers behind Tamsin Reed and cries that he only wants her cooking.
“I can't take this.”
“Not enough?”
“No, I didn't save him for money. I would have stepped in no matter who was being taken.”
“I want to eat what you make.”
Iver grips Tamsin Reed's clothes and weeps, pleading to eat only what she cooks. Dashiell Veyr, the butler, and the surrounding bodyguards all turn to stare at a bewildered Tamsin. How will Dashiell respond to his son's demand, and will Tamsin agree to cook for the young boy?
