Episode: 2
Victoria Romano forces Lia Bennett to run on the treadmill at speed ten while guards hold her. Alarms trigger when Lia trips. Victoria throws medical bills at Lia, ridiculing her cost to the family. Lia warns Victoria that Dante is in danger, but Victoria strikes her. Amy tries attaching a new monitor patch, so Victoria fires her on the spot. Lia drops to the ground, and Victoria commands guards to ransack her room.
Victoria Romano orders guards to pin Lia Bennett onto the running belt. Nurse Amy shouts a warning, but the machine is raised to speed ten. Lia trips on the track, setting off loud medical alarms throughout the room.
Victoria Romano walks closer and flings a stack of medical invoices directly into Lia Bennett's face. She mocks Lia, stating that the family spends eighteen million dollars each year while Lia provides nothing in return.
Lia Bennett gasps for air on the moving belt and speaks to Victoria Romano. She warns Victoria that stopping now can prevent harm to Dante Moretti. Victoria responds by striking Lia across the face with her hand.
Nurse Amy steps forward with an extra monitoring patch for Lia Bennett. Victoria Romano intercepts her, throws the medical patch into the garbage bin, suspends Amy from work, and commands the guards to drag the nurse away.
The treadmill belt grinds to a halt. Lia Bennett falls to the floor and grips her chest in pain. Victoria Romano mutes the beeping alarm monitor and orders her security guards to search Lia's living suite.
“Miss Bennett can't keep running!”
“18 million a year. And what value do you bring to the Moretti family? Nothing. All you do is lie there and breathe.”
“Miss Victoria, if you stop now, it's not too late.”
“Go toss her suite. I want to see exactly what the hell the Morettis are keeping alive with all that cash.”
The machine stops and Lia drops to the floor, holding her chest in distress. Victoria reaches over to quiet the blaring heart monitor and directs her security team to tear through Lia's personal quarters. With Nurse Amy removed and Lia left defenseless, what will Victoria uncover inside the suite?
