    Victoria Romano announces that the board authorized her as the hospital's acting director. Dr. Aaron pulls out a portable sync unit to reconnect Lia Bennett, but Victoria's security guards step forward and physically block him from the bedside.

    Aaron tells Victoria that Dante Moretti will die if Lia loses her synchronization. Victoria calls his claim a lie. She instructs security to strip Aaron of his badge, and the guards violently drag the shouting doctor out into the corridor.
