Episode: 5
Victoria questions a technician about the backup sync servers. The technician warns that the gear links to Dante's artificial heart. Victoria uses her radio to shut down the system. Guards pin the technician and sever communications. Lia's monitor crashes while Lia grabs her chest in agony. A doctor screams Dante will die, but Victoria ignores him. Then, a Brooklyn caller reports Dante's sudden collapse.
Victoria Romano questions the technician about the backup sync servers on the top floor. The technician warns that the machines calibrate Dante's heart. Victoria gets angry that the staff puts a former waitress before her own authority.
Victoria speaks into a radio and commands the entire system to be disabled. Guards throw the technician onto the floor and disconnect the external communication lines. The power across the medical wing flickers out for a second.
Lia Bennett's cardiac monitor begins to glitch, and Lia grabs her chest in severe agony. A restrained doctor screams that Dante will die without the system. Victoria stands over Lia and tells her to go ahead and die.
Victoria's phone rings with an encrypted call from Dante's associate in Brooklyn. The caller reports that Dante collapsed in his meeting because his mechanical heart triggered forced mode. He asks if something went wrong at the estate.
“Shut it down.”
“Victoria! He's going to die! Dante is actually going to die!”
“Then let's see you die.”
“Miss Victoria, Mr. Muratti just collapsed in the middle of the sit-down. His artificial heart went into force mode. Did something happen at the estate medical center?”
Victoria holds the phone as an associate reports Dante's sudden collapse in Brooklyn. His artificial heart has entered emergency forced mode right after Victoria cut the sync servers. Victoria now knows Dante collapsed miles away. Will she realize she caused Dante's heart failure, or will she continue attacking Lia?
