Episode: 8
Duke Oren enters the bedroom with Queen Ara Meren, who lies incapacitated from the drug. He begins kissing and touching her. Lord Reville questions a maid in the corridor, learns of Oren's presence, and throws the doors open. Oren tries to strike Reville, but the consort flings him across the room. Reville uses magic to revive Ara. Oren lies about the attack, and Ara summons the physician for him.
Queen Ara Meren lies heavily drugged on her bed. Duke Oren takes advantage of her helpless state. He leans over her, speaking about the drug's power, and begins kissing and touching her while she remains unable to move.
Lord Reville arrives outside the royal bedchamber and speaks with a maid. He asks if Ara has returned. When the maid reveals that Duke Oren is inside with her, Reville furiously shoves the heavy double doors open.
Reville enters the bedroom and confronts Duke Oren. Oren demands to know who allowed him inside and throws a punch at Reville. Reville easily catches the duke's fist in his hand and throws him violently across the floor.
Reville uses his magic to awaken Queen Ara. Duke Oren remains on the floor and claims he brought Ara back safely before Reville attacked him without provocation. Ara rushes to Oren's side and calls for the royal physician.
Palace maids escort Duke Oren away down the hallway, supporting his weight. Furious that his scheme failed, Oren curses under his breath. He slams his fist directly into the stone wall of the corridor in sheer frustration.
“Has the Queen returned?”
“Who allowed you to enter!”
“My Queen, I just sent you back safely, and Lord Reville attacked me without reason.”
“Damn it! Ruined my perfect plan.”
Duke Oren limps down the palace corridor with the help of several maids. He strikes the hallway wall with his fist, enraged that his scheme failed. With Queen Ara believing Oren's false claims over Reville's protection, will Reville convince his wife of the truth before Oren strikes again?
