Adrian hides inside a coral reef after escaping the academy hall. He breathes hard while touching his face and hand to see if his spell is holding. Cassian enters the crevice to talk to him. When Adrian claims Cassian humiliated him, Cassian explains he never said no. Cassian proposes meeting at the fountain tomorrow afternoon. After Cassian swims away, Adrian panics over whether his magic can last.
Adrian hides in the underwater coral reef. He breathes heavily and presses his fingers against his face and hand. He checks his skin carefully to ensure the magical transformation is still holding his new body together.
Cassian swims into the coral crevice to confront Adrian. Adrian accuses Cassian of publicly humiliating him. Cassian explains that he never rejected Adrian's confession. He schedules a meeting at the fountain tomorrow afternoon to give his answer and tells Adrian not to run.
Cassian swims away into the open water. Left alone in the reef, Adrian nervously touches his face again. He worries about his appearance and hopes his handsome transformation magic can hold together until tomorrow afternoon.
“When I said I'm a guy, I was just correcting a misunderstanding. I didn't say no.”
“Tomorrow afternoon, the fountain. You ask, I answer. This time, don't run.”
“Just make it to tomorrow afternoon. Hold it together until then.”
Cassian swims away from the coral reef, leaving Adrian alone. Adrian touches his skin with growing anxiety, terrified that his magical disguise is slipping away. He desperately wants the handsome form to last until their fountain meeting.
