Episode: 3
Nina enters her apartment and spots the cold lemon ginger tea left untouched on the coffee table. She empties the brew into the kitchen sink and discards the kettle. At one-thirty in the morning, Adrian returns, carrying the scent of perfume. He confronts Nina for failing to bring Chloe milk tea. Nina mocks his favoritism, rejects his hollow peace offering, and declares she will sleep in the guest room.
Nina walks into the living room and finds the untouched lemon ginger tea on the table. Adrian left it behind to fetch Chloe. Nina pours the entire pot down the kitchen drain and throws the kettle straight into the garbage bin.
Adrian comes home at one-thirty smelling like perfume. He sees Nina sitting on the sofa and demands to know why she never brought Chloe milk tea. Nina snaps back, rejects his halfhearted attempts to smooth things over, and heads toward the bedroom.
“It's the middle of the night. Why are you sitting here like a ghost? Where's the milk tea I asked for?”
“Chloe is still a student. Why can't you be the bigger person?”
“So next time do you want me to generously hand the house over to her too?”
“I'm moving to the guest room tomorrow.”
Adrian shouts in frustration that Nina should spend the rest of her life in the guest room. Nina turns her back on him, steps into the bedroom, and shuts the door firmly. Will Adrian finally reflect on his actions, or will his fixation on Chloe push Nina to finalize their separation?
