Episode: 9
Adrian answers a call from Chloe on the balcony. She cries that her landlord is kicking her out, and Adrian immediately promises to help. He runs inside to get his briefcase. Nina mentions that it is their wedding anniversary. Adrian reacts angrily, blames her for making a scene, and tells her to stay home. After he walks out, Nina opens his cake box. She takes a bite of the strawberry mousse and throws it away.
Adrian stands on the balcony to answer a phone call from Chloe. Chloe is crying because her landlord is kicking her out of her place. Adrian listens to her tears and promises to come help her right away.
Adrian hurries into the living room, puts on his shoes, and picks up his briefcase. Nina tells him that the day is their wedding anniversary. Adrian becomes annoyed, accuses her of causing trouble, and demands that she stay put.
Nina sits alone at the dining table and pulls open the cake box. Adrian forgot her strawberry allergy throughout their three years together. She takes a mouthful of the overly sweet dessert and tosses the food into the garbage.
“Today is our wedding anniversary.”
“I know it's our anniversary, but I can't just watch Chloe end up on the street. I already told you I'd have dinner with you tonight. Can't you be reasonable for once and stop making a scene right now?”
“Be good and wait for me at home.”
Adrian rushes out to save Chloe, abandoning Nina on their anniversary. Left alone at the dining table, Nina tastes the strawberry mousse cake she is allergic to. She throws the dessert into the trash bin. With Adrian gone and the cake discarded, will Nina finally confront him with the divorce papers when he returns?
