Maria carries a bowl of medicine into Cyrus's bedroom to help his legs. Cyrus coldly orders her to leave. When the maid Selena insults Maria, Maria cries into the medicine, infusing it with golden light. Duchess Ethelyn arrives and scolds Selena for disrespecting Maria. Cyrus drinks all the medicine to get them to go. As Ethelyn leads Maria away, golden lightning hits Cyrus's legs, and he stands up.
Maria walks into Cyrus's bedroom holding a bowl of medicine. Cyrus secretly thinks Maria is cute, but he snaps at her. When Maria says their mother claimed he likes her, Cyrus coldly orders her to get out.
The maid Selena lashes out and calls Maria a little wild bastard. Frightened by the harsh words, Maria begins to cry. A single tear drops straight into the medicine, and glowing golden magic spreads across the liquid.
Duchess Ethelyn steps inside and asks about Maria's tears. Maria explains she brought medicine for Cyrus's legs. Selena dismisses the child's words, but Ethelyn sternly reminds the maid that Maria is the Fourth Miss of the ducal manor.
Cyrus asks Ethelyn to remove Maria from the room. Maria holds the bowl out toward him once again. Cyrus grabs it and drains every drop of the broth before coldly telling them both to leave his quarters.
Selena urges Ethelyn to keep Maria from bothering Cyrus again. Ethelyn ignores the advice, holds Maria's hand, and promises they will visit after Cyrus recovers. The duchess and Maria begin walking toward the bedroom door together.
Golden lightning crackles across Cyrus's paralyzed legs. The sudden magic restores his strength, and he pushes himself up from his wheelchair. Cyrus stands upright on his own feet and calls out in astonishment to his mother.
“Did you hear that! Little wild bastard!”
“Watch your words! Maria is the fourth daughter of the Duke's Mansion!”
“I'm done drinking. Can you leave now?”
“Mom! Mom!”
Golden lightning envelops Cyrus as he rises from his wheelchair, standing on his own feet for the first time in years. Ethelyn turns toward him and covers her mouth in tearful disbelief. How will Cyrus and his mother react to this sudden miracle, and will Cyrus finally accept Maria as his sister?
