Episode: 8
Guards bring chests of seized crossbows into the hall behind Duke Regulus. Cyrus walks down the stairs with Ethelyn and Maria. Regulus is overjoyed to see his son walking again. Cyrus tells his father that Maria cured his legs, and Regulus scoops her up. Then, the butler delivers an invitation to an evening banquet. Maria gets a golden vision of Regulus being shot with an arrow. She tearfully begs to stay beside him.
Guards march into the grand hall of Avalon Ducal Manor carrying heavy wooden chests. Duke Regulus walks in right behind his men. Inside those chests are confiscated black iron crossbows brought directly to the manor.
Duchess Ethelyn and Maria walk down the grand staircase alongside Cyrus. Cyrus moves freely on his own two healed feet without any support. Duke Regulus stops and stares in pure shock and joy at his walking son.
Maria runs straight to Regulus and calls him Dad. Regulus scoops the young girl into his arms. Cyrus explains that Maria completely cured his legs. Regulus smiles affectionately and remarks that Maria resembles Lily.
The animal-eared butler steps into the grand hall to deliver urgent news. He hands Duke Regulus an official invitation sent by the Silver Leaf Chamber of Commerce. They want to hold an inauguration dinner for Regulus tonight.
Maria's eyes suddenly shine with a bright golden glow. She experiences a horrifying premonition where an arrow strikes Duke Regulus squarely in the chest. In the vision, the Duke collapses to the floor from the lethal blow.
Terrified by the vision, Maria runs over and clings tightly to Duke Regulus in tears. She begs not to leave his side. Ethelyn suggests bringing Maria along, and Regulus happily agrees to take his little lucky star.
“Dad! Maria is the lucky star! It was thanks to Maria that my leg got better!”
“Your Lord, the Silver Leaf Chamber of Commerce has sent an invitation! They said they would hold an inauguration dinner for you tonight.”
“No! Dad is in danger!”
“Alright, I'll take my little lucky star along.”
Episode 8 ends with Duke Regulus comforting Maria and agreeing to take her to the inauguration dinner. Maria remains terrified after seeing an arrow strike his heart in her vision. Can Maria stay close enough to protect Duke Regulus at the banquet, or will her deadly vision of his assassination come true?
