Episode: 9
Lucia and a former au pair maid run into a secret room inside a dilapidated building. The maid displays files containing victim photos, Richard's threatening text messages, and audio recordings. She warns Lucia that Margaret acts as Richard's accomplice. The maid hands Lucia a USB drive to copy files about Harvey from Richard's computer. Lucia slips back into the Sterling mansion, but Margaret catches sight of her from the hallway.
Lucia and the maid hurry up the stairs of a rundown building together. They check around to avoid being seen. The maid takes out a key, unlocks a vacant room door, and pulls Lucia inside to talk in safety.
The maid pulls out hidden documents, pictures of victimized girls, threatening texts, and recordings. She tells Lucia that Margaret helps Richard. Then, she passes Lucia a USB flash drive to download Richard's files on his transactions with Harvey.
Lucia steps quietly up the staircase on the second floor of the mansion. She starts walking down the hall toward Richard's office to take the data. Behind her, Margaret stands silently in the hallway, glaring at Lucia's back.
“The au pair program was created to pick obedient girls. The poorer they are, the more obedient they become.”
“No, don't trust her. She could have stopped all this, but she married that demon and stood by while Richard destroyed us... She's his accomplice.”
“You have to find everything Richard keeps on his computer. He saves every deal he makes with Harvey as leverage. That's the real evidence.”
Lucia moves toward Richard's room to plug in the drive, completely unaware that Margaret has already spotted her from behind. Margaret keeps her eyes fixed on the girl without saying a word. Will Margaret confront Lucia right outside the study, or will she immediately warn Richard about what the new au pair is doing?
