Mia has a terrifying nightmare where red-eyed vampires surround her in the woods and her own eyes turn red. She wakes up sobbing in bed. Klaus wipes away her tears and offers to seal their blood bond right away. Under the full moon, they sit inside a magic glyph, cut their hands, and recite sacred vows amid red flames. Afterward, a subordinate interrupts their kiss with alarming news about Vlad.
Shadowy vampires with glowing red eyes chase Mia through a foggy forest. She trips into the mud and cannot escape as the figures surround her. Mia cries out in terror when her own eyes turn bright red.
Mia gasps awake in the castle bedroom and weeps over the frightening dream. Klaus sits beside her and gently wipes the tears from her face. He offers to establish their blood bond immediately so she can feel safe.
Klaus and Mia face each other inside a glowing circular glyph while the full moon shines overhead. Both cut open their palms with a sharp dagger, press their bleeding hands together, and recite sacred binding vows while crimson magic flames flare up.
The binding magic concludes, and Klaus reminds Mia that she is now his alone. They lean toward each other to kiss. Suddenly, a panicked vampire subordinate smashes through the shattered bedroom doors and yells that Vlad has vanished.
“Let's form the bond. I'll do it, it'll put your mind at ease.”
“Now you belong to me completely.”
“Your Grace! Vlad is gone!”
The blood pact is sealed, and Klaus leans in close to kiss Mia in the bedroom. Their intimate moment shatters when a vampire subordinate breaks through the doors to announce that Vlad has vanished. Where has the traitor gone, and what dangerous plot will Vlad unleash against them next?
