Episode: 6
A blonde vampire finds Mia hiding inside a wardrobe. Mia flees her room and runs up the stairs onto a balcony. The vampire corners her there and threatens to call the others. He slices his own hand, grabs Mia, and throws her over the railing. Klaus flies down and catches her in midair. Afterwards, Klaus brushes off his rescue, claiming he only saved her to protect his personal food supply.
Mia hides quietly inside a wooden wardrobe in the castle. A blonde vampire spots her in the darkness and stares directly at her hiding place. Mia realizes she has been found as the intruder stands right outside.
Mia bolts out of the room to escape the castle intruder. She rushes up the stone stairs as fast as she can. Her desperate flight takes her all the way to an open exterior balcony high above the grounds.
The blonde vampire corners Mia on the balcony ledge. He blocks her escape path and confronts her directly. He mocks her exhaustion, mentions Vlad, and openly threatens to call all the other vampires up to attack her.
The blonde vampire cuts his own hand to draw more monsters with the scent of blood. He violently seizes Mia and hurls her over the balcony edge. Mia drops into the open air, falling toward the castle grounds below.
Klaus suddenly appears in the sky outside the balcony. He dives downward through the air at high speed. Just before she strikes the earth, Klaus reaches out with his arms and securely catches the falling Mia in midair.
Safe on the ground outside the balcony, Klaus speaks coldly to Mia. He dismisses any idea that he cares about her life. Instead, he insists that his rescue was strictly done to preserve his own food supply.
“Well, Tired, aren't you? Vlad's awful, treating his precious one like this. Should I call them all up? What would happen to you then.”
“I...I'm only concerned about my food supply. Don't overthink it.”
“I see, Your Grace.”
Klaus rescues Mia from the fatal plunge, but immediately insists he only acted to guard his food supply. Mia acknowledges his cold statement with polite quiet. Does Klaus genuinely view her as nothing more than cattle, or is he simply hiding his true feelings behind a ruthless facade?
