Episode: 4
The maid wakes Mia for breakfast with Klaus. At her mirror, Mia sees that her wrist injury has completely vanished after eating the fruit Klaus gave her. During their meal, Klaus announces he must leave the castle for several days. Later, Vlad bandages Mia's bleeding finger in the garden and discovers she lacks a blood bond with Klaus. He rushes to Lilith, who prepares an orb to cause chaos.
The maid wakes Mia and tells her the Duke awaits her for breakfast. While sitting before her mirror, Mia inspects her wrist. The wound has vanished entirely. She remembers the fruit Klaus fed her and realizes he told the truth.
Klaus sits across from Mia at breakfast and states that he will be away for the next few days. He instructs her to keep everyone away. Up on the second-floor balcony, Vlad looks down at them with dark hostility.
Mia touches a red rose outside and pricks her finger. As blood flows, Vlad approaches and wraps a bandage around the cut. He examines the blood droplets and realizes in shock that Klaus has not forged any blood bond with her.
Vlad reports to Lilith on her throne. He tells her that Klaus left the fortress without bonding with Mia. Lilith mocks her brother's mercy. She hands Vlad a crystal sphere, ordering him to use tomorrow's moonlight to drive lesser vampires into a frenzy.
“I'm gonna be out for the next few days. Keep everybody away from here.”
“No bond was formed?”
“Klaus hasn't sealed the bond with that human. He's away from the castle these days. This is our chance. I can bring the human to you.”
“Tomorrow night, on the full moon, infuse this crystal orb with the moonlight. It will drive lesser vampires into a frenzy.”
Lilith hovers a magical crystal orb before Vlad and orders him to empower it under tomorrow's full moon. She intends to send hordes of lesser vampires into a crazed assault against the castle to seize Mia. Will Mia be able to defend herself once the monsters attack and Klaus is nowhere to be found?
